What is Vaping?
Smoking in itself is an addicting lifestyle. With thousands of cancer causing free radicals and long term health effects, it is no question that it is the best interest for a Smoker to turn into a Non-Smoker.
Vaping is an alternative to smoking. A Vaper uses an Electronic Cigarette to heat specialized liquid to produce vapor that is inhaled and exhaled. There are many reasons a person might choose to quit smoking. Whether it be longevity, a more active lifestyle, or not smelling like a cigarette after a long day of work, vaping is one alternative many have chosen.

How Safe is Vaping?
Public Health England estimates that vaping is definitively SAFER than smoking, but not as safe as breathing fresh air. There is a lack of long term research on the effects of Vaping, but there are many studies done on short term effects, and its correlation to cigarette abstinence. At your discretion, there will be nicotine contained in the liquids vaped. Nicotine is addictive and not recommended for everyone. Please consult your doctor or physician before Vaping.
What is an Electronic Cigarette and the Liquid Juice?
Electronic Cigarettes, commonly referred to as E-Cigs, are battery powered liquid vaporizers. Electronic Cigarettes come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and performance. That is why there are so many variations of devices you might see online. But do not be alarmed! We are here to walk you through this.
For an Electronic Cigarette to be called a full Electronic Cigarette, there are usually 3 components: the battery part, called the MOD, the liquid heating part, called the ATOMIZER, and the liquid part, called the E-LIQUID. Okay, let’s get right into it!
( A Happy Customer enjoying a nice vape )
The Mod is the part that is powered by a battery. Sometimes, it is built-in, but usually, the battery is sold separately and is needed to power the device. The mod usually has an input (to plug something into it) and will only take the appropriate Atomizer cartridge. Mods range from simple puff activation, with no power adjustments, to sophisticated, yet easy to use, advanced technological devices with power adjustments. These slightly more sophisticated devices are called Variable Mods and is what many prefer. Do keep in mind that proper battery and Mod safety measures MUST be taken when handling these powerful devices. Improper use or charging, just like cellphones and laptops, can cause hazardous and potentially violent consequences. More information on Battery Safety here.

The Atomizer is the part that heats up the specialized liquid (e-liquid) and transforms it into a Vapor. It uses resistant metal surrounded by a filament sponge, usually cotton, and once the liquid is absorbed into the filament, is heated with the power of the Mod. Here’s an example:
Imagine I have an Atomizer. This Atomizer has a resistance coil (the metal wire) built into it that heats up when I apply power to it from my mod. I then put cotton into the resistance coil, nice and snug so that it's all plump and ready for e-liquid. I then saturate the cotton with my favorite e-liquid. Now once I power the Atomizer with my Mod, Vapor is produced!

What is E-Liquid? or E-Juice?
E-Juice is the specialized liquid we talk about here. It is made up of 4 main components, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin (usually Vegetable Glycerin), Flavoring, and Nicotine.
( One of our very own creations: Mango Minefield, a blend of VG, PG, green apple, menthol, and mango flavoring )
Propylene Glycol (PG)
Propylene Glycol is a clear, colorless liquid that is “generally recognized as safe” by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It is in many food and baby care products, toothpaste, and many other household items. A great example you may find Propylene Glycol in is medical inhalers where the user would inhale a spray of mist to treat their asthma. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not verified its safety when vaping is concerned.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
Vegetable Glycerin is classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as “generally recognized as safe.” It is also a clear and colorless liquid, but differs in more ways than one. It is more viscous, sticky, and sweet to the taste. It is in many food products and is used as a substitute for sugar in soda and tea. Your bathroom soap bar most likely contains Vegetable Glycerin as well as well as many other household products we use. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not verified its safety when vaping is concerned.
Flavoring is Additional when it comes to Vaping. It is possible to only Vape Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin alone, if you wanted to. This is where long term research is wanted to explain how safe vaping can be. Flavoring comes in many forms, you may have heard the term “Natural and Artificial flavoring.” That is what is described when you purchase a bottle of e-juice. It is recommended that you ask your vendor where the flavoring is sourced from. For some, the flavoring is sourced from highly reputable flavoring companies that do business with many products we have grown to love. Many candy’s, chocolates, ice creams, and foods use the exact same flavorings that e-juices have and some have done research into what is considered good or bad for inhaling.
Nicotine is what all smokers know. It is derived from tobacco plants and is extracted in its base molecular form. In its purest form, nicotine has none of what traditional cigarettes contain when a user smokes, such as ammonia, formaldehyde, plant leaf, tar, cyanide, etc. And has no byproduct of carbon monoxide, yellowing of the teeth, or, essentially second hand smoke.
Vaping has turned into a life altering decision many people have made and we are honored to be able to change hundreds upon thousands of lives for the better. We cannot guarantee it will improve your quality of life, but our customers, and the Vapers you see out in the world, will attest to what it has done for them.
